1. About NyumbaUG

NyumbaUG ("we", "us") operates a marketplace that connects buyers, renters, and travellers with sellers, agents, and agencies in Uganda. We are not a party to any sale, lease, or short-stay transaction between users — we provide listings, messaging, and payment-processing infrastructure.

2. Accounts

  • You must be 18 or over to register.
  • You're responsible for keeping your password secure.
  • One person, one account. Agencies use organisation accounts.
  • You can deactivate or delete your account at any time from Settings.

3. Listings

  • You may only list properties you have the right to sell or rent.
  • Listings must accurately describe the property — false claims are grounds for removal and a permanent ban.
  • We may move a listing to pending review at any time, and our admins may reject listings that violate these terms.
  • Verified listings carry a verified badge — see the Safety centre.

4. Payments and fees

Listing fees, boosts, and organisation subscriptions are processed via Flutterwave (Mobile Money / card). Refunds are handled case-by-case by contacting support.

5. Prohibited conduct

  • Posting fraudulent, fake, or stolen listings.
  • Harassing or threatening other users in messages.
  • Bypassing the platform to avoid review or payment.
  • Scraping listings or user data without permission.

6. Liability

NyumbaUG provides the platform "as is". We're not liable for losses arising from transactions between users, fraud committed by listed sellers, or property defects discovered after a sale or lease.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to active accounts.

This is a placeholder. Final legal copy from a Ugandan-licensed lawyer replaces it before public launch.
